Buddy Up is a lighthearted 2D-platformer. It uses a unique interaction to play and explore. By holding hands with other monsters, the player can form a chain of all their friends. Then, they can, almost like a slinky, curl and climb over obstacles in their path. Our goal was to make a game that targeted a younger audience and was friendly to inexperienced gamers.
This was a collaboration between Gloria Wan, Yurie Murayama, and myself for our senior thesis. On this team I was a game designer, level designer, coder, and a writer.
